Reimagining Faith with the Pastors Jackson
Nichole and Zack Jackson are the pastors of Open Table UCC in Pottstown, PA. We left our separate churches in May of 2022 to plant a new faith community that is theologically progressive, Pottstown focused, with Jesus at the center. We want to unpack what all that means while also giving you an inside-look into the messiness of starting a new church. We’re going to talk to some incredible difference-makers while taking a deep dive into matters of justice, equality, and the revolutionary stories within the Christian scriptures. You Might Be a Christian Nationalist
Wednesday Sep 18, 2024
Wednesday Sep 18, 2024
Episode 26
We're back answering another listener question. This one was actually asked four times in different ways. "What is White Christian Nationalism, and what are you doing to fight it?"
A difficult question deserves a thorough investigation, so we looked into the historical roots of White Christian Nationalism as well as other forms of Christian Nationalism to help ground our discussion. We'll take you through the messy, complicated, and divisive history of the relationship between Christianity and our National Identity as we try to work out a better way forward. After you've listened, join the discussion! We'd love to hear from you.

When Faith Falls Apart Part 2
Thursday Aug 15, 2024
Thursday Aug 15, 2024
Episode 25
Last week, we answered a listener question about deconstruction, and it didn't quite feel like we were done, so we invited the person who asked the question in the first place to come and share her story. Today, we welcome Jess Clemmer and Laura Johnson as they share their own personal stories about when faith falls apart, and what they rebuilt in its place. It's a funny, vulnerable, insightful story that is still unfolding today.
For a more systematic look at the stages of faith, check out this sermon from July 9th...

Episode 24
Nichole and Zack are back with a new series based on your questions. We don't promise any definitive answers, but we hope to make space for you to explore your own journey more freely and honestly. Today's question comes from Facebook and it reads...
"What are your thoughts on the massive number of people deconstructing from Christianity, and what does it look like for people still in the church to maintain relationship and connection to those that are leaving?"
For a more systematic look at the stages of faith, check out this sermon from July 9th...
